We at Compliance LEV would like to bring to your attention the HSE update on protecting your employees in the use of Mild Steel Welding Fume. In January this year HSE realeased the following update which applies to all workers, employers, self-employed, contractors’ and any others who undertake welding activities, including mild steel, in any industry.
“With immediate effect, there is a strengthening of HSE’s enforcement expectation for all welding fume, including mild steel welding; because general ventilation does not achieve the necessary control.”
